Mr.
Nugent has successfully represented both individuals and corporations
in federal and state courts for more than eighteen years. His many
jury trials have resulted in acquittals for offenses ranging from
official misconduct to car jacking. He has represented high profile
clients including alleged organized crime figures, police officers,
labor leaders and lawyers. He has won acquittals for police officers
in cases ranging from official misconduct for a police shooting, to
the acquittal of a police officer charged in one of the largest insurance
fraud prosecutions in New Jersey state history, and in which the police
officer client was the only person found not guilty out of 39 charged.
He has been recognized as one of the Ten Leaders of Criminal Defense
Law in Southern and Central New Jersey.
